With all of the talk of using Hyatt points for a suite award and upgrading a paid stay, I forgot to mention how you can earn Hyatt Diamond status with only 12 nights. Comments

  1. I think there is a cutoff point (July 2012?) where one will keep Diamond status for the remainder of 2012, 2013, and then Feb 2014.

I did the challenge in Aug 2011, and will be Diamond until next Feb 2013, so people should time it based on their Hyatt needs for the next 1-2 years.

  2. Is a Hyatt Challange once in a lifetime (like many airlines), or can it be attempted multiple times (like Marriott)?
