A shocking poll indicates that one third of americans would undergo an invasive “body cavity search” in order to fly.
This is unreal.
I’m not sure the “body cavity search” was defined in the poll, but c’mon, where is the line drawn for some (specifically 2059) people?
Here is the specific question asked during the poll conducted by Harris Interactive on behalf of info wars.
“Given the recent reports concerning the threat posed by terrorists who plan to implant bombs within their own bodies, how willing, if at all, would you be to undergo a TSA body cavity search in order to fly?”
What do you think? Would you subject yourself to that just in order to fly?
Probably not, but what if double or triple EQMs were on the table
?

It would depend on if I got to chose my “inspector”, and whether or not the search is reciprocal !

I’ve talked to a lot of classmates about airport security and it wouldn’t surprise me if most of them agrees to a cavity search…

Most Americans do not fly on a regular basis (or at all). These surveys do not control for that.
(Of course, the TSA isn’t known for looking out for frequent fliers best interests.)

PRETTY SURE those people were not aware of what such a search would actually mean. Naming a threat before posing a question (especially related to air travel) always makes uninformed people agree.
