One of my favorite things about Delta’s Sky Clubs is the selection of complimentary drinks. It’s nice to pick up a cold one after a long day or pour a stiff one at some of the self service bars. But it’s also nice to have options with Delta’s Luxury Bar.

The Luxury Bar offers top shelf drinks at a price. One of my favorite finds is the Delta Non-Stop drink, one sip will instantly transport your taste buds to the islands with hints of coconut an lime.

Today, I think I’ve found the most expensive lounge drink coming in at a low low price of $200 per bottle. I have never noticed before, but Delta offers Dom Perignon Champagne by the bottle in Sly Clubs.

This is quite possibly the most luxurious (and priciest) drink I’ve ever seen in a SkyTeam club lounge. Have you seen anything more luxurious?

Here’s an idea Delta, roll out the ability for members to use SkyMiles in the Sky Club for items from the Luxury Bar.

How about we settle on 15,000 or 20,000 SkyMiles for that bottle of Dom?

$200 for a bottle of Dom is quite reasonable compared to what most restaurants will charge. If it’s the ’03 it’s too hit or miss to be worth it though.

As for the idea to spend 15k – 20k miles? There’s no way that Delta believes Skypesos are worth that much. A Skyclub *membership* paid with points values those points at under 3/4ths of a penny apiece in most cases. So hard to imagine they’d even price it at 25k SkyPesos.

Guess what my $200/yr fee reimbursement from my plat AMEX went to…!

Out of curiosity, whats the price on the Blue Label in the background?

Hi Brian – It is $50. I’ve uploaded a picture of part of the Luxury Bar menu.

So tasty…. but painfully pricey. Thank God for duty free

CellarTracker rate this 92 points. The ’02 was rated 93 points, so I wouldn’t blow off the ’03 just yet. The lowest online price at wine-searcher is $123. For those of you living at the DC area, Schneiders of Capitol Hill has the ’03 for $129.

The rating system is like Zagat. Everyday users reporting.

In another life I invest in wine. Dom can be bought wholesale for around $100 a bottle so your 15-20k value is spot on. I think you have a genius idea

Which Skyclubs still have self-service bars? I’ve had some trouble finding this out.
Also, no where is a ‘complimentary list’ of alcohols available?

In flight Glenlivet is the same charge as Dewars or Woodford Reserve. Yet Glenlivet and Woodford Reserve are considered a ‘Premium’ liquor and are not complimentary.
