Any Ultimate AAward trip to Scotland wouldn’t be complete without a stop to the Old Course at St Andrews to where the game began.
We stopped by the Rocca Grill at the Rusacks hotel for a nice dinner with a view.

It wasn’t pouring down rain on this day. The weather was unreal for an early Scotland day in June. We poured down a bottle of 2008 Segla to mark the occasion. The wine was fantastic! But the views and company were better.

Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words.

This was one of my all time best happy hours. What was your best happy hour view?

Relaxing with a beer in a European town square is a great way to spend an afternoon catching up with friends. Last year I had the opportunity to visit Belgium and experience many of the great beers during my Beers Of Belgium Points, Miles & Martinis Happy Hour. In this happy hour, reader Chet the… continue reading

I stumbled upon the best Sky Club snack a while ago and haven’t been able to kick the habit since. Almost every time I enter a Sky Club I just have to try it. My favorite thing to wash it down on a Thursday evening has always been a complimentary Heineken during a Sky Club… continue reading

There’s no secret that we here at Points, Miles & Martinis like to enjoy a good happy hour during our travels. A good drink and good company usually makes for a fun time. From the looks of it, Frank Sinatra agrees with us. Here’s a happy hour quote we picked up at a recent happy… continue reading

Sometimes change is a good thing. So a friend and I headed out to a new restaurant near the new Hyatt in Midtown Atlanta. The hotel is being built but already has a great thing going for it with the location and strong southern restaurant scene. Wathen’s Single Barrel Wathen’s Single Barrel Bourbon is a… continue reading

It’s been a while since we’ve done a happy hour post, so we are taking it back to basics with a main ingredient to a perfect Happy Hour. Every cocktail or mixed drink should have a good base alcohol as the main ingredient. And what better ingredient than Woodford Reserve. Perhaps Delta knows it’s important… continue reading

One of my favorite things about Delta’s Sky Clubs is the selection of complimentary drinks. It’s nice to pick up a cold one after a long day or pour a stiff one at some of the self service bars. But it’s also nice to have options with Delta’s Luxury Bar. The Luxury Bar offers top… continue reading

As a Delta Elite, my favorite drink in the sky is a Woodford on the rocks. But not everyone has the same taste. Some prefer a Coca-Cola, coffee or just plane water. We ran a small giveaway last week to hear about your favorite drink in the sky, and we put up Delta in-flight coupons to… continue reading
