Bottom Line

This may be welcome news for the infrequent flyer who doesn’t place a carryon in the overhead compartment. Most frequent American Airlines flyers won’t be effected. For example those with PriorityAAccess, the Citi® Platinum Select® / AAdvantage® Visa Signature® Card, AAdvantage Platinum, or First Class passengers will still be able to board prior or with Group 1.
