I’ll be leaving to Macau this Jun 3rd for my wedding. I booked PHX-MFM-PNH, NRT-PHX, for 4 for only 260 United miles + $360 taxes, its a steal. I grew up in Macau and remembered how great the pork chop sandwich and the Portuguese egg tarts were. I stumbled upon A-Lorcha 2 years ago when I was in Macau, it was great. The best egg tart I ever had were at Lord Stow’s Bakery in Hac Sa(Black Sand Beach) in Coloane.

I couldn’t agree with you more. As a former Portuguese colony I found it interesting to see how their influence transformed the place, from architecture to food. I’ve visited Macau and although it is close by Hong Kong, one gets a very different experience w/o that British influenced found right next door. The book would make for some great reading!

Macau is definitely on my list of places to visit, and the book would be a first step. From pictures, I imagine Macau is a fascinating place that gives up so many stories about Portugal as a colonial power and China today as a world power. Would also love to learn about things unique to Macau. Thanks for the club giveaway!
