There will be No more red blanket or pillow on Domestic flights (by May 2010) on American Airlines flights with a minimum of two hours in duration, unless you are willing to pay US$8.00 for the privilege.
For that US$8.00, one gets to purchase a blue fleece blanket and an inflatable neck pillow, packaged in a clear zippered pouch. As an added bonus, the deal reportedly includes a coupon good for US$10.00 off a Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. purchase of at least US$30.00.
