Actually, the pillows used in an impromptu pillow fight aboard a recent Lufthansa flight may or may not contain pillows, but nonetheless ruffled feathers — which usually is not good — may be a positive thing in this situation.
In fact, a flight attendant was even involved in the melee!
Please click here for the FlyerTalk member discussion, as well as a link to a video showing the actual pillow fight.

Last year, as reported by The Gate, one could Fly Anywhere on jetBlue All You Like as Often as You Like for US$599.
Well, All you can jet is back again this year. One did have a choice of paying US$699.00 for unlimited travel any day of the week, or paying US$499.00 for the same deal but excluding Fridays and Sundays where both options include taxes and fees, but the US$499.00 All You Can Jet Pass is now sold out at the time this has been posted.
Unlimited travel with the All You Can Jet Pass is valid between September 7, 2010 and October 6, 2010. However, as with this offer last year, rules, limitations and restrictions apply, such as a 3-day advance purchase is required, and there is a $100 penalty if you miss a flight or cancel.

Three unaccompanied minors, ages 15, 13 and 11, wanted to go to Dollyworld. The 15-year-old girl, who was saving her money to buy a car, instead decided to use her funds to treat her brother and a friend on a sojourn to the amusement park — except that the result of 3 children fly alone from JAX-BNA (Nashville) without parent’s knowledge was not so amusing.
They were passengers on Southwest Airlines from Jacksonville, Florida to Nashville, Tennessee — except that Dollywood is located almost 200 miles to the east near Knoxville, Tennessee. Scared, they decided to contact their parents to help get them home, as there was no way they could get to Dollywood from Nashville on their own.
FlyerTalk members debate as to whether or not unaccompanied minors traveling alone is even an issue…

The fact that a Colombian plane crashes after lightning strike, one dead and 114 injured is a miracle, considering that this accident could have been far more tragic.
A Boeing 737 aircraft, operated by Aires, was on its way from Bogota when it reportedly was struck by lightning before it crashed into three distinct pieces and scattered passengers all over the runway on the Caribbean island of San Andres.
The cause of the sole fatality was attributed to a heart attack.

FlyerTalk member toomanybooks says that “This takes nerve: $5.50+tax “resort fee” for a $36 Rodeway” for a Rodeway Inn property in Kissimmee, Florida near Walt Disney World.
By the way, that $5.50 resort fee is purportedly per day, not for the entire visit.
A representative from one property in Anaheim claims “that all hotels less than a mile from Disneyland are required to charge it.” Could the same be true in Florida?
If you believe that this topic is already going downhill, wait until you read about the off-topic discussion concerning heated toilet water…

Those who’ve visited Noumea know it is a small island airport, so an A380 diversion there is a big deal. When Qantas then sent backup crew on a 747, locals had the rare sight of 2 jumbos at their little airport. An FTer was onboard (of course) – read a first hand account of the A380 Noumea diversion.

A woman based in the Los Angeles area was boarding a Delta Air Lines flight in Atlanta recently when she thought she detected alcohol on the breath of the captain of the aircraft for her flight after having a brief conversation with him. She claims that she was not the only passenger who noticed this.
Before she knew it, she was escorted off of the aircraft, given meal and hotel vouchers, and asked to take a different flight to Los Angeles the next morning after the captain had reportedly tested negative for alcohol consumption.
Does the fact that a Passenger Kicked Off Flight for Accusing Pilot of Drinking mean that it is a sound policy for an airline to follow? FlyerTalk members debate this issue, which eventually becomes a discussion pertaining to law…

FlyerTalk member Downunder girl asked members of the FlyerTalk community to Sponsor Mini Downunder girl for WORLD VISION 40 hr famine 21st August 2009, and the request is being repeated for 2010 for her daughter, who will not use any furniture for 40 hours.
The original goal was a modest $250.00, which has already since been surpassed.
Consider sponsoring the daughter of Downunder girl for a good cause. However, if you need further incentive, all donations greater than $2.00 are supposedly tax deductible.
