Up to 150% Bonus SkyMiles by Patronizing Partners of Delta Air Lines

Posted on: November 20th, 2008 by: Brian Cohen

From now until 31 December 2008, you can earn Up to 150% mileage bonus for most miles earned through year-end 2008.

This may be a good time for you to top off your Delta Air Lines SkyMiles balance.

However, a bit of controversy is brewing in that thread, as some FlyerTalk members are unhappy with what appears to be the giving away and devaluation of SkyMiles.

In a related PROMO: convert 20,000 SPG points to 62,500 Delta Skymiles (good through 12/31/08) thread, you could benefit if you are a Starwood Preferred Guest member and need more Delta Air Lines SkyMiles.

The Award Ticket Costs More Than The Actual Airfare!

Posted on: October 15th, 2008 by: Brian Cohen

What would you rather do?

  • Use 25,000 Delta Air Lines SkyMiles and pay $308.71, or
  • Pay $285.80 and earn approximately 2,000 Delta Air Lines SkyMiles?

Both scenarios are for the same exact flight at the same time on the same day.

Book a Flight. Help Breast Cancer Victims. Get Bonus Miles.

Posted on: September 17th, 2008 by: Brian Cohen

As a frequent flier, imagine getting bonus miles and helping breast cancer victims just by doing something you normally do anyway: booking a flight.

For every ticket you purchase at www.delta.com until October 31, 2008, Delta Air Lines will donate 250 SkyMiles to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. You will also receive 250 SkyMiles in addition to the SkyMiles you would ordinarily earn.

This is a great way to help out a good cause while earning bonus miles for yourself, with little effort and no additional cost on your part. However, you must register for this offer.

For additional information, please refer to the 250 Delta Miles for You and Cancer Research and 250 Delta Miles for you and Breast Cancer Research threads.

Get up to 170,000 SkyMiles for a Hair-Raising Experience

Posted on: July 25th, 2008 by: Brian Cohen

The follicles of Delta Air Lines are the roots for this interesting promotion.

I brushed along the 20k miles for free with Bosley thread while combing through the Delta forum on FlyerTalk. Usually Delta Air Lines SkyMiles members do not feel like they have been scalped when taking advantage of a SkyMiles promotion, but this particular promotion may be an exception.

20,000 of those 170,000 SkyMiles can be earned simply through an initial consultation regarding a hair restoration procedure, and this is no bald-faced lie. There are additional details and a link in the thread linked above. However, as usually typical with the hair on the top of a man’s head, the promotion will fall out on 25 August 2008 and the offer will no longer be valid, even if you miss the deadline by nary a whisker. If you are interested, do not wait and put yourself in a close shave – act today!

I simply hope not too many Delta Air Lines SkyMiles members who are also FlyerTalk members wig out about this promotion.
