US$131 Visa Reciprocity Fee to be Imposed on Americans Entering Buenos Aires

Posted on: December 13th, 2009 by: Brian Cohen

If you are a citizen of the United States of America wanting to visit Buenos Aires, be prepared to pay a Visa Reciprocity fee to start December 20, 2009. That fee will be $131.00 payable upon entry into Ezeiza International Airport in Buenos Aires, but not into other destinations in Argentina. Once paid, the fee permits multiple entries into Argentina for ten years in accordance with United States visa reciprocity.

Canadian and Australian citizens will also be charged fees as well: US$70 and US$100 respectively.

Stranded in Kuwait for 24 hours

Posted on: January 16th, 2009 by: Kiwi Flyer

Your flight is cancelled and you’ve been rebooked on the next available flight … which is in 24 hours time.  Due to visa rules you are unable to enter the country.  Kuwait airport is not a great place to spend a lot of time, I almost got stuck there myself in 2007 when I nearly misconnected.  So what do you do?  Log onto FT of course.  Can we help?

Mission impossible?

Cue music.  Dum dum dum-dum dum dum …

AArkansas, your mission should you choose to accept it, is to go interstate tonight, get your passport renewed, travel across the city to get your visa updated, return home and leave for a destination half way around the world in 3 days.  Will you accept the mission?
