Would a vehicle that has a range of 800 miles at 43 miles per gallon with leg room in the back comparable to that found in a limousine convince more people to drive than fly as passengers on airplanes?

While one could purportedly travel for 11 straight hours driving this automobile, some FlyerTalk members argue that one must stop for at least one break anyway, and air travel is faster overall.

What do you think? Find out exactly what is this vehicle and whether or not it may convince more people to hit the road rather than take to the skies…

It is time to play that popular game that everyone loves called All right FT, time for you to be the hotel manager. How would you resolve the following issues?

  1. Mrs. Smith is staying at your hotel for five nights. On the first morning of her stay, she complained that the housekeeping staff made her bed but did not replace the linens.
  2. Mr. Jones complains that your property does not have an on-site fitness center as advertised on your Internet web site and in the in-room directory. Your website does not mention your fitness center, and the in-room directory makes it clear that the fitness center is off-site.
  3. Dr. Sanders makes an award night reservation in his name. His daughter shows up to check in. She is underage and he is not present. She is refused check-in.
  4. Rev. Morton uses one of the highway coupons to book a walk-in rate. Rate is honored for two nights, which violates the terms and conditions. After check-out, he demands a lower rate as he did not realize that the coupon rate varies by day of week. After refusal, the guest mentions problems during stay and demands a discount on the room rate.
  5. Admiral Davis calls to inform you that his mother has passed away and he needs accommodations for the night. You express your sympathies and reserve a room for the Admiral. Per standard operating procedure, he is informed of all check-in and cancellation policies. Admiral Davis calls you at 11:20 in the evening to state that he stopped to see family members in a neighboring state, the visit took a little longer than anticipated, and he is now too tired to continue on. The Admiral requests cancellation without penalty. He is a silver elite member of the frequent guest program of your hotel with no immediate plans to return to your area.

There are questions over the scrutiny Delta Air Lines has received by both traditional media and social media regarding the reported incident that Delta charges group of military on orders $2,800 USD to check extra bags – in error.

Delta Air Lines clearly states its policy regarding fees for extra baggage by United States military personnel — or does it? Depending on where one goes at the official Internet web site of Delta Air Lines, the waiver for military personnel is either for three or four checked bags, which can understandable cause confusion.

There even was a video publicly posted — and then later redacted — criticizing how Delta Air Lines charged greater than a dozen military personnel approximately $2,800.00 in baggage fees.

An apology was already issued by Delta Air Lines regarding this incident, and the policy regarding baggage fees charged to military personnel was changed in favor of the military.

Regardless, Delta Air Lines has received scathing criticism of its now-former policy and of the incident itself. Did Delta Air Lines really deserve the public scrutiny?

A United Airlines flight from IAD-ACC aborted because of seat squabble while the Boeing 767 aircraft carrying 144 passengers was within the vicinity of Washington, D.C. raises questions, such as how the meager recline of a seat in the economy class section of the aircraft can be the impetus of a fight serious enough to have two United States Air Force F-16 fighter jets escort the flight as it burned fuel before returning to land at Dulles International Airport. Also, the flight was delayed until the next day.

The pilot of the aircraft decided to abort the flight rather than deal with the uncertainty of what might further happen between the two combatants during the many hours left of flight time of the overnight trans-Atlantic flight to Ghana. The fight started when a passenger reclined his seat, and the passenger seated behind him responded by assaulting him with a “smack to the head.”

If you thought that the Airbus A380 — already the largest commercial passenger aircraft in the world — could not get any bigger, then fasten your seat belts, as the Airbus Expanded A380 could hold up to 1,000 passengers. This aircraft is also currently known as the A380-1000.

There is a report that Air Austral is planning an all-economy-class configuration of the current version of the Airbus A380 with 840 seats.

Some FlyerTalk members wonder where the race to cram as many people as possible into one aircraft will end…

At first glance, it may seem as though a 40-year-old Man Flirted his way into Lifetime Ban on DL. However, the story gets stranger, as a 23-year-old woman who writes a weblog gives details on how she possibly thwarted a man possible capable of committing terror. He allegedly lit a torch on-board the Delta Air Lines aircraft en route to Atlanta from Dallas, which calls into question the security policies implemented by the Transportation Security Administration. He gave her chocolates. He reportedly said things that could possibly cause a person to fear that they are indeed in danger.

Was the woman a heroine who saved the day, or did she purposely entrap the man to create a situation that may have been otherwise unnecessary? Was he a threat, or simply flirting with the woman? Was he deranged or drunk? Does he deserve the lifetime ban from Delta Air Lines?
