There was a 25-year-old Florida Man arrested for how shall we say, masturbating, on United flight from Spokane to Denver by United States Federal Bureau of Investigation agency officials. The obscene incident was witnessed by an 18-year-old woman seated in the row across from the suspect, as well as two passengers seated behind the suspect aboard the aircraft.

We are not certain, but the possible reason why the suspect was — er — aroused could be because of people who wear Too little on for security! Apparently, some Transportation Security Administration personnel do not like when passengers wear so little apparel while moving through the airport security checkpoint that they cannot be screened…

The promotion of 4x Frequent Flyer Miles from Marriott after 2nd stay — valid from June 1 through August 31, 2011 — allows one to earn quadruple frequent flier miles from any one of twelve airline frequent flier loyalty programs, but one must first register for the promotion and also ensure that the earning preferences in one’s Marriott Rewards frequent guest loyalty program account is set to earn miles instead of Marriott Rewards points.

Be advised that because of the earning preferences, one cannot take advantage of both this promotion and the Megabonus promotion.

Other rules and restrictions may apply.

Before you say “here we go again: volcano eruption in iceland forces closure of airspace [May 2011]”, experts predict that the eruption of the Grimsvotn volcano in Iceland will not be as disruptive to airline flights crossing the northern Atlantic Ocean as the eruption one year ago of the volcano Eyjafjallajokull, also in Iceland.

Keflavik International Airport is reported open but no aircraft are taking off or landing. However, FlyerTalk member Christopher comments: “No offence to Hjordis Guðmundsdóttir, but I think for most people in the general public the main point of an airport is the planes taking off and landing…”

FlyerTalk member wsucougarchick05 has asked for prayers before regarding her grandfather from fellow FlyerTalk members, but she says “I asked for prayers ’round this time last year…I’m asking for them again…” regarding the baby boy of a friend of hers who was diagnosed with a rare blood disease in October and recently received a life-saving bone marrow transplant from his big brother. She includes a link to a weblog with plenty of photographs and information regarding the progress of the baby boy whose name is Liam.

Please show some support as other FlyerTalk members already have. Thank you in advance.

The Capital One $900 Hyatt Check Certificates promotion seemed like a great deal a couple of month ago: get a $900 Hyatt Check Certificate — good for a multi-night stay at Hyatt Hotels and Resorts properties worldwide — for the approximate equivalent of $256.25.

However, after waiting through extensive delays to finally receive the promised certificates and allegedly experiencing poor customer service by overwhelmed Capital One representatives, FlyerTalk members are finally receiving their gift cards — not certificates — that are only valid at Hyatt Hotels and Resorts properties in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean — not worldwide.

Some FlyerTalk members are accusing Capital One of pulling the equivalent of a “bait-and-switch” on them, giving them something reportedly worth significantly less value than what they were originally promised.

Delta Air Lines used to cut the limes served with drinks on its flights into 10 slices. Northwest airlines used to cut its limes into 16 slices. Despite a potential savings of up to $500,000.00 per year, Delta Air Lines opted to keep cutting its limes into 10 slices, but because it apparently loaded more limes onto its flights than needed, Delta Air Lines now carries fewer limes on its flights.

The lime scenario is only one of many different issues, problems and items to be resolved in The Minutiae of an Airline Merger.

Considering that Atlanta is arguably the home of the world’s largest airport and the home base of one of the world’s largest airlines — not to mention that many Fortune 500 companies are either based there or have regional offices there — it seemed silly to have to apply for a passport in either New Orleans, Miami or Washington, D.C.

Those who reside in the Atlanta metropolitan area, therefore, will most likely be happy to know that Atlanta Finally Has Its Own Passport Office!

Although the ribbon-cutting ceremony took place today, the official opening of the office was on May 2, 2011. Greater than 50,000 customers are expected during the first year alone.

Delta Air Lines springs into action for a dying breast cancer patient wanting to spend the final days of her life with her family in South Korea.

For several days, the woman and her daughter have been attempting to get to South Korea from Seattle, but Korean Air would not permit them on board, concerned of the possibility that she might die on the flight en route, potentially traumatizing fellow passengers. Despite that the woman — a patient losing her battle with Stage 4 breast cancer — was granted clearance by her doctors for her to fly to South Korea, Korean Air steadfastly refused, citing their policies which follow the guidelines set by the International Air Transport Association.

After she was repeatedly denied passage on Korean Airlines to her family in South Korea with whom she wanted to spend her final days, a gift was given to a Dying woman granted flight on Delta.

Delta Air Lines came to the rescue, not only flying both of them from Seattle to South Korea, but also upgrading them to the business class cabin so that they may travel in comfort.

Meanwhile, Korean Air refunded the airfare to the woman.
