You could include Syria on your list. It’s becoming a very popular tourist destination these days.

The San Andres Islands are beautiful with colonial architecture and crystal clear beaches. These are owned by Colombia but are in the Carribean closer to Nicaragua. Lots of European tourists and westernized resorts.
