Earn Priority Club Points When Staying On-Post

Great news from my new best friend Mike (Gamecock on FT) as he reports that Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG) now has the management contract for the Army guest houses, now called Army Hotels, and you can earn Priority Club points when staying there.  Staying on post is typically cheaper and putting you closer to where you want to be when PCSing or even just staying for a vacation.  The downside was always that you got no points and it was always a trade-off between price and convenience versus earning points and status.  Now you have no reason not to stay there, especially as they are pet-friendly which means a lot to many military members.  To see where the Army Hotels are located, visit http://www.ihgarmyhotels.com/pal/en/us/home.

Here is a little bit about IHG in case you are not familiar with their name, although I am sure you are familiar with their hotel brands.

IHG is one of the world’s largest hotel groups by number of rooms. IHG owns, manages, leases or franchises, through various subsidiaries, almost 4,000 hotels and more than 590,000 guest rooms in nearly 100 countries and territories around the world.

IHG owns a portfolio of well recognized and respected hotel brands including InterContinental® Hotels & Resorts, Crowne Plaza® Hotels & Resorts, Holiday Inn® Hotels and Resorts, Holiday Inn Express®, Staybridge Suites®, Candlewood Suites® and Hotel Indigo®, and also manages the world’s largest hotel loyalty program, Priority Club® Rewards with over 37 million members worldwide. www.ihg.com

Thanks for sharing that tip, Mike!
