Thanks Dan, for the great article; and Troy and Stephanie for trailblazing with CAK.

What's really exciting is that Twitter offers us all a profound new way to interact in real-time with customers...something airports have never before enjoyed.

I need to also give credit to our CAK social media teammates- Elizabeth and Ryan. Their efforts have truly given shape to our broader efforts to engage young, hip travelers.

PS- I hope someone else comments besides us! :)

Dan,

I echo Troy's sentiments, this is a great blog posy. Thank you for including MDT and for your encouragement regarding our tweeting efforts, and those of other airports.

Twitter has proven and continues to prove itself as a useful, efficient means of two-way communication with our stakeholders, the customers choosing to fly the airlines serving MDT. We look forward to seeing what relationships develop as we continue to tweet and meet with our customers online!

Again, thanks for the thoughtful promotion of airports that tweet!

Stephanie @ MDT

Dan, great article. Twitter, as a two-way communications tool, is being used every day to enhance the airport and travel experience for RIC customers. It works. It's fast. It's cheap.

We applaud the good work of many airports, including CAK & MDT as mentioned in the story, adopting this as a fundamental component of customer communications.
