This week’s episode is jam-packed with not one, not two, but three(!) guests: Tom of The Airline Blog, Max Trescott, and Steve Visscher of the podcast’s Australia Desk and Plane Crazy Down Under who was visiting the US.
We cover a lot of stuff, such as an Oshkosh review from Rob and Max, thoughts on the Southwest-Frontier deal, and a discussion on increased competition between the US and Australia. Meanwhile, I start laughing uncontrollably at one point, and Steve becomes so demoralized that he wants to go curl up in a ball and cry. (We love you, Steve! Really!)
You can grab your weekly installment of geekiness here.
This week’s guest is Elizabeth Clark, who flies the Challenger 601 and Lear 45 for FedEx Express Corporate Aviation (she gets to fly people, not boxes!). She is also Executive Director for Women in Corporate Aviation and the current President of the Memphis Belles Chapter of Women in Aviation International. We talk about things like the 787, airline earnings, and Oshkosh.
You can get it here.
This week we’re joined by Christopher Webb and Blogger Bob of the TSA, both of whom were great to talk to! It was very enjoyable to learn about the TSA’s social media efforts, and I think other government agencies can learn from them. We also talk about a few news stories, like AMR’s earnings. You can listen here.
Episode 56 of Airplane Geeks is now available for your listening pleasure. This week, Max, Rob and I are joined by Kate Sedlmayr of KES Consulting, and we discuss the weekly news, airline-airport partnerships, travel agents, and, of course, how United breaks stringed musical instruments. You can grab it here!
Episode 55 is now up for your listening enjoyment. This week Max, Rob, and I speak with fellow BoardingArea blogger Steven Frischling of “Flying with Fish,” who is also founder of The Travel Strategist.
This week, Max, Rob, and I are joined by fellow BoardingArea blogger Ben from One Mile at a Time. We have a load of news stories, talk about Ben’s mileage running activities, and more!
Take a listen here.
This week Max and I discuss the news as always, and later interview Paula Berg, Manger of Emerging Media at Southwest.
Check out the episode here.
(Side note - I arrived very late yesterday and didn’t have a chance to write up a trip report, but that will be up tomorrow.)
I’ve been a guest on the Airplane Geeks Podcast a few times, but now I’m a co-host. Sadly, Courtney, one of the founders, is leaving to pursue a new career opprutunity, so Rob Mark and I are becoming co-hosts. In episode 51, we say farewell to Courtney, and discuss issues like Air France 447 and the potential United order.
Check it out here.
