Before I start my own posts again, I just wanted to thank everyone who guest posted and kept the site going while I was gone. Personally, I think there was some really great stuff!
In case you missed any of the posts, you can read them here:
I won’t be posting today or tomorrow, but everything will be back to normal on Saturday. I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving with their friends and families.

It definitely was a fun evening and it was nice to learn about the other blogs/podcasts/sites out there. Max and Court are planning to do another live meet-up again in a few months. Details will be posted here.
Today’s regular posting will be up later this morning.
If you haven’t had the chance to listen to an episode the Airplane Geeks Podcast yet, I’d highly recommend it as there’s lots of great information in each installment. The geeks (Max and Court) are hosting a live show Sunday at 8PM (Eastern Time) discussing “new media” (blogs, podcasts, social networking, etc.) in aviation. Anyone is free to listen in, and there will be a few guests as well.
You can find more details on the podcast’s site as well as Max’s blog.
Hope to see you there!
Courtney and Max, the hosts of the Airplane Geeks podcast were nice stupid enough (
) to have me as their guest on the latest edition of their Airplane Geeks podcast, which you can find here. There are a few topics discussed, including the airlines’ fight against speculation, Soutwest’s new partnership with WestJet, the launch of the CSeries, and a few other things.
I really enjoyed doing it, and thanks again to Court and Max for letting me on!
As promised I did make a few minor changes this weekend. First, there are a few more header images. They don’t do much other than make the website look different.
Second, I installed the ShareThis plugin, which allows readers to post articles to other websites (i.e. Digg) and e-mail articles very easily.
Finally, I installed WP-Polls. The title is pretty self explanatory – it makes it very easy for me to create and post polls. So expect some reader polls in the future.
I will be installing some more plugins in the future but I think I will wait for WordPress 2.6 before I do anything more.
Since today is Independence Day, there is no regular posting. But I will be working the site this weekend. I want to add some more header images, and there are a few WordPress plugins that I think are worth trying.
So, if (when?) the website breaks down, you’ll know that I screwed something up.
I know, this is the second time a change has occured this week. I’m leaving for a cruise tomorrow morning. I’m flying down the day before the ship leaves, so I will be writing tomorrow’s post from the hotel. The cruise lasts a week, but I do have some posts on tap. A friend generously offered to put them on the site for me. There will not be a new post every day, but expect a few.
Anyways, I’ll be back in action June 29!
The two posts below are for Monday and Tuesday, as I have college orientation those days. As a result, I won’t be able to write posts or moderate comments. Sorry!
See you Wednesday!
