UA is the only big six carrier still give full difference back if u find ur fare lower even after u book the ticket. However, this will be gone for ticket booked after March 20th, 2009 and will charge $150 for refare, which means they will only gave u fare difference-150, if the difference is less than $150, u get nothing.

N fare is the lowest upgradable fare on AA with EVIP certificate and price always very low, they used to put almost all cheap ticket under N class.
This year, lots of cheap fare is also available, but all change to Q or O class, which are not upgradable. The annoying part is they don’t have option to search cheapest upgradable fare other than calling them.

Since this is my first year as AA Executive Platinum(one world Emerald), I thought the one world alliance benefit is similar to Star alliance, but it turns out to be a lot better. When I tried to enter Admiral club at ORD when connecting from Shanghai, the agent told me I can also use Flagship lounge around K19, I was surprised when I heard that.
Later I went to oneworld website and learned that as one world Emerald, I have access to all First Class and Business Class/Frequent Flyer lounges in addition to use First Class Check in counter. Those are the benefits you don’t get as Staralliance Gold.
Still, both alliances are great and make Skyteam the weakest alliance.
