Hyatt officiallly announces “The BIG Welcome Back” Promotion

According to this FT thread posted by Gold Passport Concierge, the new promotion indeed runs from March 26th-June 30th, 2010, you can choose to earn 1 free night for every 2 stays or 5000 bonus points for every 2 stays. Registration begin on March 26th, 2010. Member can redeem free night from Apr 1st-August 31st,2010 and unlike last year promotion which 2 hotels choose not participant in redemption, all hotels are participant in the promotion this year as earning or redemption partner except newly opened hotels.

FYI-Costco is selling Hyatt gift certificate at 20% off.

    1. I am interested to earn the 2500 United airlines miles per stay until Jan 2011. Can I have 5000 Bonus points after 2 stays through this BWB and also earn 2500 miles per stay? Also earn G1 bonus points and the Diamond amenity points too?

    2. Will be attending a conference, made reservation through the conference website, which is much lower compared to Hyatt.com, will I be still eligible for the Bonus points?

    3. In the past, has Hyatt been stingy with extending the redemption period? Because I just extended my free nights until Jun 30.

    1 Yes, u r still eligible for 5K bonus, but no G bonus and diamond amenity

    2 Yes, if u pay the urself at checkout, not via a third party master bill

    3 No, in the past, only extend to Diamond member for one extra month at most, it’s first time I saw they gave that ;ong extension.
