Finally, the “Third leg dump trick” is gone!

It has been for a couple of years, you add certain segments on a ticket, the fuel surcharge for entire trip will be dropped. It used to work on both *A and oneworld carriers, but later most oneworld carriers fixed the bug, left only *A.

Today, Airfarewatch dog posted an article explained in detail  how the trick works. then published on twitter several times during the day. Guess what, within matter of hours, all airlines fixed the “trick”

I don’t understand what’s the purpose of publishing this for dog other than generating few more readers and intentionally killing deals. The website never posts anything useful.

Airlines knew this for long time,but didn’t bother to fix it as they knew only limited number of people knew the trick. After dog published to general public, airlines are facing massive loss in revenue if everyone does it.

It hurts a lot of people!!
