I mentioned here and here about Hilton Q2 promotion, but it turns out to be even worse, no more free nights.
It is double points or 1000 bonus per night
It’s still uncleared whether it’s combinable with bonus miles promotion, but still it’s a very very bad promotion!

I am 1K with UA and also Gold with BMI because BMI gold can get me lounge access+ their redemption value is better than UA to most destinations. In order to maintain my BD Gold, I sometimes credit certain UA flights to BD program, most time switch FFP in RCC desk. Today, when I switch to BD number, my seating assignment was still showing Economy Plus for IAD-TPA flight, but when I boarded plane later, my boarding pass beeped, the gate agent op- Up me to First class.
Nothing special to talk about since it’s a short flight, but still feel pretty happy as op up *A Gold doesn’t happen very often.

Carlson goldpoints Plus just released their Apr-May redemption offer, redeem your points from stay from Apr 1st- May 31st, 2010 for up to 50% off.

I signed up their instant silver and fast track to Gold promotion before my first stay this year, after my fifth stay posted to my account, my status was still showing as Silver. After about 6 emails back and forth, I was eventually upgraded to Gold level.
To be honestly, the program is the weakest among all major full service hotel chains. although, they are planning on their “5 year Global Strategy”, the first thing they need to change/improve is their loyalty program.
Why would I still want to become their gold member? It’s their first Quarter promotion. The total cost for my 5 stays are $280 USD, and I got more than 60K points, I am sure these 60K points are valued more than $280 USD. In addition, as a Gold member, I can use this 4 for 2 or 2 or 1 +Breakfast promotion., which is considered as The best benefit of being a Gold member!
