I actually got American Airline Credit card 75K offer
I posted below for 40K sign up link, then I saw someone mentioned 75K offer and remember seeing one in my email earlier today, but delete right the way. Why? I did not read the detail email, only saw 75K, then saw 3 cards, then assumed 25K each, not good deal, deleted.
I can post link, does anyone want to give a try, I don’t see anywhere mentioned it’s a targeted promotion although diff people get diff offers.
Visa, Amex and Visa business
- 75,000 American Airlines AAdvantage® bonus miles after $1,500 in purchases within the first 6 months of cardmembership1 — enough for select round-trip international travel awards2
- $85 annual fee ($75 for the CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage® Visa® card) waived for the first 12 months of cardmembership*
- Earn one AAdvantage® mile for every dollar spent on purchases3
- No blackout dates on award travel on American Airlines, American Eagle and the AmericanConnection® carrier4
- AAdvantage® miles may never expire

Just to confirm, are the links above to the 75K offer?
Troy said,
@Pauline, the link I posted here is direct from my email, however, it looks like diff people get diff offers, so it may be a targeted promotion, but you can give a try.

Used the link, hope it works! I only had the 40k offer in my inbox.

I can confirm that these links work. I applied for the Amex and Biz Visa; had to call about one application, and they told me I would get the 75K miles for $1500 spend in six months.

Jonathan- Is the one you verified the Business Visa using the link above? That’s the one I want and I can’t find any definitive info on it on the flyertalk thread. Thanks

Thanks for posting these. I applied, was approved and called in to verify the 75,000 bonus.
Great offer, thanks!

Sareen, Great to hear it’s working!
Jonathan said,
@Gil, yeah, it’s the Biz Visa using the links above.

I must have really bad luck. I got an email after I applied and heard back 24 hours later saying.
Why we’re writing you
Thank you for applying for the Citi(R) Platinum Select(R) / AAdvantage(R) Visa Signature(R) account. Unfortunately, we are unable to approve your request for the account at this time because of the following:
oThis specific offer is valid only for first-time Citi(R)
AAdvantage(R) cardmembers.? Our records indicate that
you already have a Citi(R) / AAdvantage(R) account with us.
Here’s what you should know
Our credit decision was based, in whole or in part, on
information obtained in a report from the following consumer reporting agency:
I do not have a CITIBANK VISA but I do have a CITIBANK AMEX. What gives??? Anyone else with this problem?
Troy said,
@Pailine, that’s a bad luck, did you call them?
Pauline said,
No I have not, but I will call to inquire and see if they can offer me the card for a different promo or the business card since they already dinged by credit for that application. I will report back on what they say.
Troy said,
@pauline, it looks like a lot more people got declined if you have any Citi/AA cards active.
manny said,
Pauline, if you have any luck when you call them, please let me know, I got declined too. I had an Amex card which I canceled 2 months ago.

I, too, just applied for the Visa card online (using the link posted above on this site). I called 2 minutes later (phone number and application code pop up after application is submitted) and was told I was approved. I verified that the annual fee is waived and 75K bonus after $1500 in spend. Thanks, all!!

Fwiw, I had an existing business citibank MC card tied to my AA account and applied for the personal Visa and was approved online. Haven’t tried for a 2nd business card.
Troy said,
@ M M, business and personal should ok, but more than one personal or business is YMMV
M M said,
@Troy, thanks for the info. Since I haven’t been applying for cards much at all, I went ahead and applied for the personal Amex and was approved for that too. Hopefully both approvals will stick and I won’t be retroactively denied…

I just got approved for a business Visa card using the link above. I have an existing personal Visa (since Dec 09). I applied online and got instant approval then called 1-800-472-2069 to confirm that I get 75k miles after $1500 in 6 months! First year’s fee also waived!

Oh and I just applied today Aug 16 so it’s still on!

I signed up for the Visa Personal and got approved instantly. Then I applied for the Business Visa and got the “We will let you know” response. Why would that be? I don’t have any AA citi cards and I have a business. Also, has anyone gotten approved for all three cards (the Visa Personal, the American Express Personal and the Visa Business)? I want to try for the AX Personal but don’t want want waste a credit check. Advice?

Does anyone have a phone # handy so I can just call and apply directly for this offer without taking a chance on the online application getting approved?
