LAN and TAM intend to merge?

The largest #1 and #2 airlines in South American intend to become LATAM airline. Both are under diff alliances, so there is no way to stay in separate alliance after the merge. Also, the top 2 airlines in a region merge, hard to believe it can pass the Antitrust Evaluation.
Anyway, let wait and see.

do you mean that the US could do an antitrust review? These are 2 south american companies so I wonder what the US jurisdiction could be…
