China air will join Skyteam as early as Sep 14th, Tuesday!
Now People will have more choices when redeeming award within Asia or to Europe, but there is a problem, they need to get rid of their blackout dates, at least some of them, too many dates are blackout.

It sounds a good addition to the Skyteam and will open new routing possibilities for award tickets. In addition to flights within/between Asia and Europe, China Airlines operates direct flights from its hub at TPE to LAX, SFO, SEA, ANC, JFK and YVR in North America, and GUM and HNL. CI also has non-stop services between TPE (the main international airport in Taipei suburb)/SHA (the airport in downtown Taipei) and a few cities in the mainland China. It is interesting that CI offers complimentary Bus Service to LAX and to SFO, to/from JFK, for all passengers (advance reservation required).
