One improvement of China Eastern Airline
Soon, China eastern airline will join Skyteam and merge with Shanghai airline, which will build an extremely strong base for Skyteam in Shanghai and China.you can redeem Delta miles for all China Eastern flight, even now and availabilities are very good.
Just like most Asia FFP, China Eastern has massive blackout dates throughout year to various regions. Delta makes thing even easier for themselves, just blackout all MU flights as long as there is a blackout date to any region.
But this will be improved next year, China Eastern only has very few blackout date for upcoming year, only around Chinese New year(1.29-2.16), Labor day(4.28-5.3) and Most September-10.7.
I hope their availabilities still good after they join Skyteam.
