The best part of these deals is they don’t require airport rental. airline programs in US for rental car miles require airport rental, I know sometimes you get miles for non airport rental, but that’s lucky, I won’t count on it.
1 Europcar for BMI miles, one day rental can get you 1700 BMI miles, you can directly book on flybmi.com, the price is not bad at all.
2 Avis and Lufthansa, they had this promotion last year and now just extend the offer to 12/31/2011
As a base member of Miles & More, Avis will reward you with:
- 1.000 Miles for your second rental
- 1.500 Miles for your third rental
- 2.000 Miles for your 4th to 6th rental
- 2.500 Miles for your 7th to 10th rental
- 3.000 Miles starting with your 11th rental
You can book on any avis website using AWD code mentioned in promotion.
3 Avis and Virgin Atlantic, 1000 miles per rental for most AWD code, I know this is not a best promotion, but if you really have no place to put your miles or short on VS, this is best option.

You must use AAA CDP, a easy to remember one is 123 and coupon code 145935. It may not work at all locations or time, but if it works, it will knock out $10 per day!
Also, many people have reported hertz local edition rental will get US airways miles too.

Sometime last year, I purchased 6 Avis $50 giftcard from local Drug store and it turned out to be the worst gift card ever designed!!
1 You have to use Avis.com/Giftcard to book ur reservation
2 you can only use 1 card for each rental
3 No residual will be given, so your rental amount has to be greater than gift card face amount!
4 If you want to cancel giftcard reservation, u have to wait 24 hours before making a new one with this gift card.
5 Sometimes the value doesn’t go back automatically, then a nightmare starts. When u call the CSR number on the back of the card, they have no clue what u r talking about. I had 4 gift cards value did not go back automatically, it took me more than 15 phone calls to finally get a number for Corporate office. Then, a lady in Corporate office was able to reinstate the card.
Not worth the trouble!

I got this delta promotion email 2 days ago, but did not think it’s a great promotion until I found this 2 days Budget rental deal.
you need to register this 50% bonus promotion AND earn 50% after your third transaction. If you are platinum member with Starwood, you can transfer 1 points to 1 Delta miles, that will count as one transaction.
Then this budget deal, earn 5K bonus miles for 2 days or more at participanting US or Canada Airport Location from Feb 8th- March 31st Use coupon code MUAZ015.
The cheapest price I found at my local airport budget with Coscto BCD W852800 is $58 for 2 days weekend all in. 2 rentals will cost $116 and earn 10,000 miles + 50% bonus=15,300 miles. $1 for 131 miles.
Not a bad Deal!!

I did a search using AWD code O855701, the code beat all others code for rental in YYZ if you change ur country of residence to USA.
I always credit my one day rental to VS program since they give 1000 miles for pretty much any AWD code and they give miles to NON Airport rental. I had more than 25 one day one way rentals last year.
I agree that both VS and LH charges extremely high fuel surcharges and LH award is expensive, but both companies have discount award redemption throughout entire year. I only redeemed intra EU award using LH miles twice, they can price out some routing that wouldn’t be permitted using UA miles.
The only thing I don’t know is whether LH will give same amount of miles on other AWD code.
For 2 days at airport locations, delta have 2010 miles until Feb
For 3 days at airport locations, US airways have 3000 miles per rental until March

via View from the wing, Hertz is offering its invitation level only-platinum membership for sale at price of $1350 if u r Gold, or $1275 if u r Five Star $1200 if u r President Circle. The benefit includes vehicle airport delivery, guaranteed upgrade, extra grace period, etc
If u rent car every week and want to save time at airport like LAX,IAD, ORD, go for it.
