Podcast #6 - The TSA Talks Back

This week’s TravelCommons podcast is an “odds-’n'-ends” podcast, following up on items from previous podcasts and answering questions from web boards and e-mails. I follow-up on last week’s Sean Penn sighting and read the reply I received from the TSA in response to my complaint about Chicago Midway airport. Responding to a topic request on the Podcast Alley comment board, I give my thoughts about frequent flier programs.    Mark,

   I had just finished listening to episode 5 (where you mention Sean Penn) while on the airport shuttle service from the Marriott by the SFO airport back to the airport. While waiting in line at security who should end up right in front of me before going through the metal detector but Sean Penn! It was almost sureal since I’d just finished the episode where you mentioned your encounter. I didn’t bother him and just went on to my gate. Then while waiting for my flight, I listened to this episode where you followed up on the sighting. It was one of those strange moments of timing.

   Thanks again for a wonderful series of podcasts. As a somewhat frequent traveler I appreciate your insights.
