Hello all! Thank you for your support, W & T, S & P, Frank and whoever else checked in on us. We (Ally and Bob) had a lot of fun, made new friends and got SMOKED in the competition! The first three days were grueling hitting Frankford, Kolblenz, and Amsterdam. We really enjoyed the last three days (in Brussels, Brugge and Paris) after the “game moderator”, Steve, ended the original competition early to start a new game with different rules which made it a lot more fun!

Would we do it again? Yes … with the revised format the chances are more likely that we would do this trip rather than something else. The motivation for us is not to win the first place prize (although that would be just fine!); rather, the reward is the whole experience of the trip (its the journey not the destination). We have really enjoyed meeting our fellow competitours with whom we share a trait in common: a craving to experience new adventure. In particular, we have made new friends with one team with whom we have a whole lot in common and hope to have a lasting friendship. In the very least we have made new friends with all of the competitours who are an exceptional group of people and with whom we hope to intersect again in our travels.

To our friends in Dallas: we return late Sunday night. We will be at the lake house in the hot tub!

Interesting grouping, don’t you think? Yup, we’re in Amsterdam, and actually much more rested than the ‘blur’ that was yesterday in Cologne (Koln). So, we set out today to capture all that we can……later! Ally (Almita)

Team 2 is still alive…..sort of

If it`s Tuesday (it is … right?) then we must be in Köln! We are in Köln and finally figured out that we`re not in Kansas … er … Texas … anymore, and the internet is not exactly what we`re used to! And, that German keyboards aren`t what zou expect them to be (fellow Competitours appreciate this!) We are having fun, however, so we are successful. Bob sleeps well on planes; Ally takes triple espressos from Starbucks and babbles alot of things that are difficult to understand! He, he, he … (this is Bob giggling now!). So, as we write, we are finally getting our uploads from Day One on UTube. Oh well! We have some good videos of Swizzle videoing a runnaway van from a higher elevation and other videos not on the list, but sorry! We have taken enough time out of our day in an internet cafe to share these! It was pretty weird walking up to the Marksburg Castle, turning around and seeing an empty van rolling down the hill! That alone was worth the train fare! Ally (that`s us, Plan B) as well as Caroline (from Swizzle) are resourceful and a little wicked … watch out for them! Bill (Swizzle) and Bob (Plan B) watched in awe as they took charge of things. Women rule (right Bill? Say “Right, Bob”). Hopefully we will get a system for more efficient uploading and share more with everyone … the week is still zoung … young, that is (darn these German kezboards!)
