Hello all…
I’d like to dedicate this first post to all of you that took the time to stop in and check out what this new blog is all about. TravelTechTalk is part of the Boardingarea site. TravelTechTalk is exactly what the name says; we’ll talk about travel and the technology we use while on the road. We’ll cover a pretty wide range of products, from luggage recommendations to the newest portable video player. If it can make a trip easier, more enjoyable or more productive, you’ll read about it here.
The last part of the site name is the most important; talk. Talking is a two way street, so an integral part of the site is listening to what you have to say as well. Comment on our articles, praise, whether you disagree, if you feel we messed up, or if you have something you’d like to ask us. It could be a simple question about how to power a laptop on a certain flight, or wanting to tell us about a great new product you have discovered (or developed).
A little about myself… I’m Scott Carmichael, I’m a recovering gadget addict based out of the Midwest. I’ve lived in 4 countries, speak 3 languages fluently, have over a million miles of stamps in my passport and I once flew Concorde to New York just to get my hands on an XBox even though I am quite useless at computer games. My weak spots (besides my wife and daughter) are cell phones, ultra portable gadgets and anything that had a cord and more than 2 buttons.
In the coming weeks I will introduce you to some of my fellow writers. People just as crazy as I am, but with the same passion for travel technology, and a burning desire to share their knowledge with you.
