Magellan may have kept their best for after the CES.
Not content with announcing 5 new GPS systems during the show, the Magellan Maestro 4350 has been uncovered by the good people of Navigadget.
It’s very hard to introduce a new GPS system and add features previously unseen. Every time I think a device "has it all", someone proves me wrong. And Magellan seem to be no exception.
The Maestro 4350 has live traffic information AND historic road conditions for 750,000 miles of road (average speed on the road for every hour and day of the week). This is great if you are somewhere you are not familiar with, on a road you’ve never been on. It adds a kind of telepathic ability to guess how bad traffic will/could be.
Of course, it also has the "normal" bunch of features like text to speech, voice commands, fm transmitter and the AAA travel guide.
No word on price or availability, but Navigadget guess it will be over $500.
