TSA admits it messed up – and stops screwing with your gadgets

Well, here’s a first; the TSA openly admitting it screwed up. Last week the web was full of reports of a few local TSA stations (like SFO) deciding that you would have to show them every single gadget you carry. But the official TSA web site didn’t mention this "policy change".

The TSA blog was contacted, people were outraged. The folks behind the TSA blog then made a few calls and discovered that indeed, some airports had decided it would be funny to mess with you and made up these new "rules". It’s another demonstration of what happens when you give the wrong kind of people a little power.

Thankfully the TSA blog was able to convince these rogue agents that they were being a pain in the ass and got the "exercise" halted.
