Any other readers using VOIP and becoming increasingly annoyed with the taxes? My first invoice back in 2004 had one line of taxes ($0.27).

I’d like to think that Vonage is forced to charge these taxes, but can’t help think most of it is just a "tad frivolous".

When you see “recovery fee” on your telecommunications bill it means that this is a fee the provider can legally charge to perform a service (regardless if you want this service or not) on your behalf. Put another way its a charge that goes to no government agency it goes directly to the service provider.
