Well whattayaknow… It really does work as promised. Imagine being able to access your entire iTunes library, right on your Blackberry, without having to actually move any of your music files onto the device!

The first step is sending nuTsie your iTunes .XML library file. That file contains all the information about your files (playlists, album names, ratings etc…).

Once you have sent them your library file, you can install the nuTsie client on your device, and you’ll have immediate access to all your playlists and songs. When I first read about it I simply didn’t believe it could be this easy. But they delivered on their promise, and after a couple of minutes I was listening to my own "top rated" playlist.

For full disclosure, I did run into one snag when installing the application; my Blackberry wouldn’t run the player and crashed with an error message. So I dropped nuTsie an email, and within 4 minutes I had a reply, from a real person, with a real solution (a link to an OTA installer of the program).

Of course, since my Blackberry is a slow (non 3G) device, loading a song takes around 2 minutes :(

The long wait to load a song…

Once the song has loaded, it starts playing and you have the usual controls (next, pause).

This application has a lot of potential; but I really can only recommend it for users of a Blackberry with a fast connection or devices with Wi-Fi.

At just $19.99 (or $3.99 a month) it isn’t overly expensive, and could save you the cost of a memory card for your device.

The best part of the service is that you also get access to your music through your web browser:

I’m going to play with this a little more, and will most likely post an update to this (mini) review in the coming days.
