Garmin recently announced the new Garmin Mobile for Blackberry navigation package. For $99 you get a lifetime subscription to their service. Users of a Blackberry without integrated GPS pay $149, but that includes a Bluetooth GPS receiver.

There are a few unknowns; the subscription is specific for one device, and Garmin don’t say what happens if you switch to a new Blackberry. You can find Garmin Mobile for Blackberry here. As far as I can tell, they do not (currently) offer a trial version.

A reader pointed me to a Handango trial version, as well as the option for a monthly subscription instead of the lifetime version.
