StyleTap have announced that they are working hard on bringing Palm application compatibility to the iPhone.
That means that the entire library of 20,000 crappy Palm applications will be available on your sleek, powerful iPhone.
Benchmarks show that these apps run almost twice as fast as the fastest Palm. Which can only mean one thing; Palm might as well stop developing new devices, and just tell everyone to get an iPhone.

1You must not follow the mobile handset market very closely. Palm stopped developing new devices a long time ago. All they do these days is repackaging their old stuff in new casings with new names (Treo –> Centro).
That said, I still prefer PalmOS over the alternative from Redmond (a lot of the “crappy” PalmOS software has been ported to Windows Mobile, by the way, thus contributing to that platform’s choice of “crappy” applications). And since the iPhone isn’t an open system, it’s really not a choice for me at this time either.
