If you were to ask me right now, what the number 1 application is I’d like for the iPhone, I’d tell you "Slingplayer".

Thankfully that wait might soon be over, as Sling have been showing off a "proof of concept" client for the iPhone.

It’s proof of concept, because Apple still haven’t allowed Sling into the official iPhone developers program, so for the time being it requires an iPhone that has been "jailbroken". There are some videos of the client in action, and I have to admit that it runs pretty smooth. Sling even added some nifty touch scrolling controls for the remote control portion.
