		<description>My feeling on the sccreen is that they designed it to look very much like a printed page from a paperback book.  Those pages are not bleached white (it is cheaper and easier on the eyes).  If the background of the screen were much brighter it would actually decrease the long-term readability comfort of the device, I think.</description>
