Chase Freedom is one card that is almost always in my wallet. With 5% cashback in rotating categories, it is a decent no annual-fee back up for Starwood/Hilton Amex. As I have discussed earlier, the 5% cashback often offers the best return on your purchases.

Right now, Chase if offering $200 cash-back signup bonus (LINK) . You get $100 back after you spend $500 spend in 3 months and another $100 after you spend and an additional $1000 in 6 months. This is the biggest signup bonus for this card in the last 2 years.

Rookies who have just started building credit should seriously consider this card. To build a solid credit history, it is imperative to have a few no annual fee cards that you could keep for life. This is one card that is often worth having (other options include the Hilton Amex).

It may also be worthwhile to remind you that Chase Freedom gives access to Ultimate Rewards. Chase currently has a promotion for $100 back on a travel purchase of $1000+ through their Ultimate Rewards travel booking tool.

So, all in all, this is a decent offer that is worth the attention if you never have had the Chase Freedom card. Hurry the offer ends on April 17.
