A Possible 50K Extra Membership Rewards Points for Amex Platinum Cardholders

I had blogged earlier about getting 50K Membership Reward (MR) bonus points on your new application of Amex Premier Rewards Gold Card. It seems that the same is valid for Amex Platinum Card. The Points Guy and Rick (aka Frugal Travel Guy) have noted that if you have applied for the Amex Platinum Card recently with a 50K MR sign-up bonus, you may be eligible for another 50K MR bonus.
To get the bonus points you can call Membership Rewards at 800-297-3276 or email them. I have not done this myself. However when asking for the 50K bonus MR on the Premier Rewards Gold card, I had told them I was aware of a larger signup bonus and had asked them if I was eligible for the offer. The same methods should work in this case.
This offer surely won’t last long. So, hurry!

No one is talking about this. You can get the same deal for the GOLD card. I got the GOLD card last NOV and got the 50k extra. Wife did the PLAT in Jan this year and also got the 50k!
Lastly keep calling. Even if it takes 10x times. Be nice and say thanks and just call back again and again. Worth the time!
