Win a $25 gift card – National Car Rental 25th anniversary giveaway

National Car Rental is celebrating it’s 25th anniversary! To celebrate it they are running a promotion on their Emerald Club Facebook page. You can enter to win a $25 gift card by submitting a ‘Blast from the past‘ story, picture or video of what you were doing 25 years ago. (Yes, the rules stipulate that you need to be at least 25 years old to enter).
As a part of their celebration, National has extended to me the opportunity to run my own promotion to give away a $25 gift card. Note: The minimum age is not 25 years for my promotion, it is 18 (sorry, it’s the law in most states). Here is how you enter the promotion run by us:
All you have to do to enter is leave a comment below on this post with with a short (repeat – short) comment about what you were doing 25 years ago! If you are less than 25 years old, leave a comment about what your parents or an older sibling was doing 25 years ago. Both the National Car rental sweepstakes at their Facebook page and our promotion ends on March 30th, so enter now!
The fine print:
- You can enter as many times as you want. I am going to repeat the method I used in my last promotion- you can leave as many comments as you want (you can talk about what all you did all year, 25 years ago), just make sure you let someone else leave a comment after you, before you leave another comment. Two consecutive comments from the same person will result in disqualification. (I moderate the comments so you may experience a delay between the time you post and your comment appearing, the first time you leave a comment.)
- Comments entered from now thru Midnight EST, March 30th, will all be included in the contest. All comments after that time will be considered invalid.
- Do not repeat what you did. Repeated comments will result in disqualification. Rack your memory to come up with different things you did in 1987!
- I will use random.org to pick the winner. ONE winner will be picked and declared on this blog on or about April 2nd. I will then put them in touch with National Car Rental.
- The gift card will be given out by National Car rental and any communication and follow up at that time will need to be addressed to them.
- All decisions of winners are final and mine alone. National Car Rental has no influence on determining the winners.

25 years ago I was just starting to learn about points. I travelled extensively in the early 80s and rue the fact they came up with the points system AFTER I stopped travelling!
