These come for me in two favors: one where I never even knew I could have earned extra miles (or extra EQM) till it was too late and second where I did what I needed to do to earn the miles, but the miles never posted and I lost track, till it was too late. … I use a spreadsheet to track all activity that has taken place which I think should earn miles – eating out, filling out surveys, customer service events, signing up for promos, etc.

Yeah, I know there are websites that will track it for me all in one place – I have accounts with points.com and gomilies.com , but they just don’t seem to be right or enough. … Staying at a hotel (duh, again, but this can become complex if one earns hotel points, airline miles or hotel points AND airline miles) Credit cards eMiles.com eRewards.com MyPoints.com TopGuest Car rentals (for rental rewards or airline miles) Other sundry events, like filling out a survey, earning miles as compensation for a customer service event, etc.

The Hyatt Concierge announced on Milepoint their new promotion that would run from Sep 15 to Nov 15. The promotion allows you to earn 5000 Hyatt points for every 3 nights up to a maximum of 30000 points. You can register for the promotion at http://www.goldpassport.com/possibilities
- starting Sept 15.
Hyatt currently has a promotion until Spet 30 for 2500 Aeroplan miles per stay. It would be great if these could be double dipped.

Most of you would probably remember Sheraton Madison’s Facebook promotion: 3000 SPG points just by ‘liking’ them on Facebook. As with most of the social media promotions, the points did not post. However, they were extremely fast in responding when I contacted them on Facebook. And the points appeared in my account in 3 days.
In case, you too had ‘liked’ them within their contest period, it may be worth checking if you have received the points. If not, just put in a note on their Facebook Wall. 3000 SPG points …

I posted yesterday on how one can earn ‘Drive-by’ points and miles with TopGuest. My post was supposed to be a ‘tongue-in-cheek’ attempt to make fun of how this great program could be mis-used.
