The Best Hotel Promo I’ve Ever Seen: 13,500 United Miles and a Free Night for Every Two Cheap One Night Hyatt Stays
One Mile at a Time points to a Flyertalk post made by Hyatt which clarifies that the Faster Free Nights promo is valid whether you choose to earn Hyatt points or miles on your stays. And that means it is combinable with the current United Airlines promos.
In addition to the usual 500 points earned for a one night stay, you can earn both a 5000 mile bonus and an additional 2500 miles for every 2 nights (up to 25,000 miles for 20 nights).
So that averages 6750 United miles per one-night stay. Or 13,500 miles and a free night for every two one-night stays.
There are a couple of Hyatt Place properties out near Dulles airport that I may need to flip back and forth between, as they offer rates around $60 on weekend nights.
And since the Faster Free Nights promo is also providing double elite qualifying stays, 13 one-night stays while taking advantage fo these promos are enough for Hyatt’s top-tier diamond status which provides not just lounge access but now confirmed suite upgrades four times per year.
Note that the 5000 mile United bonus is advertised to United’s 100,000-mile flyers, but the terms and conditions of the promotion do not limit the bonus to those flyers.

Interesting. Thanks. Hyatt’s the only major hotel program I don’t participate in. To earn these bonuses, do you need to book directly with Hyatt (as you do with, say, Starwood and Hilton)? It might be in my interest to book through some of the on-line travel agents (Expedia, Travelocity, etc.) where I have some discounts/vouchers. Thanks.

I wish there was confirmation as to whether the 5000 mile thing applied to all MP members or just 1K
I’m a 1P and can’t decided if I should credit miles or not.

Don’t forget to add the $20 Mastercard gift card per stay. The Hyatt Place properties I’m booked at had this rate $5.00 more than the AAA rate. Still a $15 profit.

This is undoubtedly one of the best value opportunities for hotel loyalty program members in years.
I was kind of shocked yesterday to see Tim Winship’s review of the Hyatt FFN offer with this statement,
“With so many competing hotel bonuses on offer, Hyatt will have to be more generous or more creative, or both, if it wants to stand out from the crowd.”
