Re-usable 15% Off Code for American Airlines Flights

The Points Guy points out this morning that downloading American Airlines’ ‘DealFinder’ application will get you a 15% off single use discount code.

I got the email from American last night and didn’t jump for joy, not just because it meant I had to download software that I’d then have to remove — I’ve done sillier and more cumbersome things for smaller deals before — but because I had a better solution for American Airlines discounts, courtesy of commenter qbrain who pointed out over the weekend, in response to my post about 10% off discount codes on American, that promo code 4681BX takes 15% off at AA.com for flights from any airport to many major airports served by American between August 22 And December 15.

    Where can you fly?
From: All Airports To: BOS/Boston Logan
From: All Airports To: BUR/Burbank Bob Hope
    From: All Airports To: BWI/Baltimore
From: All Airports To: DCA/Washington Reagan
From: All Airports To: DFW/Dallas Fort Worth
From: All Airports To: EWR/Newark Liberty Intl
From: All Airports To: FLL/Fort Lauderdale Int’l
From: All Airports To: HPN/Westchester County Apt
From: All Airports To: IAD/Washington Dulles
From: All Airports To: JFK/New York Kennedy
From: All Airports To: LAS/Las Vegas McCarran Intl
From: All Airports To: LAX/Los Angeles
From: All Airports To: LGA/New York La Guardia
From: All Airports To: MIA/Miami International
From: All Airports To: ONT/Ontario International
From: All Airports To: ORD/Chicago OHare
From: All Airports To: PBI/West Palm Beach
From: All Airports To: SAN/San Diego
From: All Airports To: SFO/San Francisco Int’l
From: All Airports To: SJC/San Jose International
From: All Airports To: SNA/Orange County

Now, you may want to download the DealFinder app, but for many this promo code will do just as well.

  1. I received an email from AA about their Dealfinder, but that did not have the 15% off offer, but I installed it anyway and still I do not see any 15% offer. It appears to be targeted.

  2. Would you be able to get 15% and then use the Costco giftcard for an additional 10% off. Could mean AA is on sale for 33% off.

  3. I’m a bit confused about the direction of travel — the code appears to work only for travel from smaller airports to these big places but doesn’t appear to work in reverse. Is that right? In other words, the 15% off would be available if one did a round trip from LIT to DCA but not if one did a round trip from DCA to LIT. Is that correct?

  4. Is this code still working for anybody? Entering it into AA’s reservation system this morning yields an ‘invalid code’ warning message.

  5. DF2LA1W this one works, but you have to fly sat or something. it said it wouldn’t apply to my flight from LAX to ORD

  6. Hi to all the wise travelers,
Im in need of assistance. I am traveling from the 20th of Dec. from Japan to Tennessee and I am looking for discount codes for American Airlines.
I have checked out entertainment magazine.com but the membership is $30 and the discount is only $10(and is not a percentage of your purchace price).
Also I attempted to use the code posted above(4681BX) but it seems that the AA online booking will not except that code as well. Does anyone have any other suggestions that might help? Hope to hear from you soon!
    Sincerely,
    Dena(~u~)/
