Announced on Milepoint, the next Frequent Traveler University will be held April 26-28 at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner.

Ticketing for the event, and hotel booking at a special rate, will open shortly. But for now I just wanted to make sure the date was out there so that folks could block it off on their calendars.

The next Frequent Traveler University will be held at the Sheraton LAX, November 30 – December 2, and is sold out. 400 folks will be attending to talk about frequent flyer miles earning and burning with Ben Schlappig of the One Mile at a Time blog, Frequent Miler, MileValue, Pizza in Motion, Million Mile Secrets, and Wandering Aramean. And talking talking travel with Cranky Flier and representatives of loyalty programs. And the incomparable Randy Petersen.

Details on the spring event forthcoming, but some of the same speakers and some additional, bigger names along with hundreds of your closest friends talking about all the tips and tricks that you won’t find on the blogs or frequent flyer forums for a few days of fun.

So I’m not really working on the schedule until after the Los Angeles event but will keep all of these suggestions in mind (since they’re memorialized in the comments section). Thanks!

Nothing on the schedule in April yet, so I should be able to get to an FTU event finally.

If MM speaks then I’ll have to attend. I’ve been standing at the bottom of the local South Texas ski run in my Hawaiian shirt and shorts for hours and have yet to have anyone let me buy their lift ticket to get miles on my credit card like he did. Gotta learn his secret. :)

  6. Bayguy said,

Gary, Will there be a chance for last minute cancellations so people like me can attend?

  7. Gary said,

Follow the thread on Milepoint, generally folks who can’t attend can transfer their tickets to someone else i believe

Really? Do you realize all these tips & tricks will end up in the MMS blog with screenshots & all? He really believes it is the mission of his blog, NOTHING is to NOT to be withheld.

Marathon Man, stick with FT man, ok? ;-)

    Caution:
