  • Deals We Like says you can get $15 Staples gift cards for each (of up to 10) Visa/Mastercard prepaid gift cards you buy. She explains how to sell the gift cards for cash, and cash out the prepaid Visa/Mastercards, so that you net money. Pay with a Chase Ink Bold or Ink Plus card and earn 5 Chase Ultimate Rewards points per dollar.

  • Pizza in Motion notes that US Airways is offering 5000 elite qualifying miles for purchasing a lounge membership. That’s like making a mileage run for elite status (if you needed one anyway), not having to spend the time to do it, and getting a lounge membership for free.

  • Loyalty Traveler unearths a lucrative promotion with a chain that doesn’t garner much attention, Red Lion — 5000 points per stay with promotion code MYRATE01 through January 31. That equates to a free night every two stays.

  • At the end of September I posted a deal to get a whole bunch of United miles cheap, along with some merchandise you probably didn’t want but could resell to push your cost down further. Deals We Like‘s points didn’t post on their own, but she followed up and they’re now in the bag…

    Actually the Staples deal is far more lucrative than that. You can get $135 in gift cards on the purchase of just 3 prepaid cards:
