The held itinerary was a great tool for business travelers from small companies. We each book our own flights, but it was a nice way to make sure everyone was on the same flight- easier to coordinate ground transportation and meeting times.

United, or Untied, is one of the dumbest airlines known to man. I am sitting here on a Sunday morning trying to make reservations for my daughter and I to fly from SFO to MSP to drop her off at camp, and then I return and repeat the process upon pick up. Basically, four RT tickets. Since I can’t hold them, I will move on to Northwest tho I have been a Untied frequent flyer since the 80′s. Complete idiots.

I’m just after discovering the very same thing. I hold little hope of United responding to my query on twitter. $25 for the telephone-people it may well be.

@oliver, I’d be surprised if they would pay that much attention to the Twitter complaints. I’m not sure that United has fully grasped how Twitter can be used to communicate with customers.
