There are many hotel travel deals happening the next few days and $3,000 in Marriott gift card giveaways have been posted so far on BoardingArea blogs alone.
Personally I think I want to stay offline since all this shopping frenzy is too much hype for me. This is a great weekend to be outside on the central coast of California.

Hotels.com has a second night for $1 special offer for a few dozen hotels in the USA. (HT: Deals we Like).
I looked at the Choice Ascend Collection Gaia Hotel & Spa, Anderson, California near Redding and it sure looks like a valid Best Rate Guarantee claim to me. The way the rate is displayed on the site makes it look like a Best Rate Guarantee claim with Choice Hotels might get first night free and second night at $1 rate.
Might be worth trying for a BRG claim if you want to be in Anderson for two nights before December 15. Anderson is where the Cascade foothills begin and the town is convenient for Lassen National Park or Mount Shasta.
Hotels.com shows second night rate as $1. Choice Hotels Best Rate Guarantee gives first night free and matches rate for additional nights.
Marriott Hotels has a CyberMonday sale for 30% off select hotels. The San Francisco rates did not impress me. The better value here looks to be the giveaway offers of two $500 Marriott gift cards each from Mommy Points, One Mile at a Time and View from the Wing.
