Best Western online booking bonus 1,500 or 2,000 points per stay Feb 3-April 6, 2014

Best Western launched a global Spring 2014 promotion for earning 1,500 points per online booking for stays completed between February 3 and April 6, 2014.

Best Western Rewards elite members earn an additional 500 bonus points per stay.

Spring 2014 Promotion registration is required. Stays completed before promotion registration will not count for bonus points offer.

A BWR member can book a reservation on any Best Western online booking channel (bestwestern.com, the Best Western To Go mobile app, or via Best Western’s mobile website) to receive bonus points.

The bonus points are earned for any paid reservation booked and completed during the promotion period, even though the offer focuses on the internet only rate for a 20% discount. You do not need to book the internet only prepaid rate to earn this bonus.

After checking several hotels with the internet only rate, the rules for this rate tend to require full payment at time of booking and most hotels I checked were nonrefundable. Although, there were some hotels with Internet Only prepaid rates that allowed cancellation without penalty up to two weeks before arrival.

BW Internet Only CX

Best Western Beach Dunes Inn, Marina, California allows penalty free cancellation two weeks before arrival in this prepaid Internet Only reservation.

    Have you ever used awardspy.com?

AwardSpy eliminates the pain and guessing game of discovering when award stays become available at hotels of your choice. You simply tell AwardSpy where and when you want to stay (i.e. “alert me as soon as the W Union Square has Cash & Point availability between Dec 15 and 25.”), and it does the rest of the work for you. When availability opens up, you get an email right away.

AwardSpy currently supports Free Night, Cash & Point, and SPG50 awards for all Starwood Hotels. In the future, other hotel chains will be supported.

For more about the history of AwardSpy, please read the Introducing AwardSpy blog post.

I thought you might find the site useful.

No matter how tempting, I have decided not to do business any more with a company that treats its customers with such disregard.

Gonna burn what’s left (only a few thou) and be done.
