I know many of us (myself included) participated in the recent FlexPerks promo that awarded 3,500 FlexPerks (worth up to $70 toward airfare) after spending $50 on your U.S. Bank FlexPerks Visa at Neiman Marcus on by May 19th. I also know that many of us (again myself included) can be procrastinators that wait until the end of the promo to act. In this case that meant that purchases made toward the end of the promo actually didn’t ship and/or get charged by Neiman Marcus onto the FlexPerks card until after the May 19th deadline.
I think I made my purchase on the May 19th deadline and it was actually charged to the card two or three days later. Luckily I had bought things that we needed anyway, so it was no real loss if I didn’t get the bonus points, but I certainly wasn’t going to go down without trying for the points. I sent a secure message from my US Bank FlexPerks account politely explaining the situation, and within a day or so received the following reply:
Good morning and thank you for contacting U.S. Bancorp Service Center, Inc. via our Website.
We certainly understand your concern regarding your purchase with Neiman Marcus, Summer, and we are happy to assist you. We are aware of the issue with the delay in the Neiman Marcus transaction posting to your account. However, the transaction will be honored and you will receive the bonus points within eight weeks of the transaction.
Please contact us again, Summer, if we can be of further assistance.
They both know about the delay and planned to honor the transaction – hurray! We aren’t yet at the eight week mark, and won’t for several more weeks, but I have no doubt that I will get the bonus points in the end. I don’t have that much experience dealing with the customer service side of US Bank, but so far so good for me.
Has anyone else received their bonus points yet?
