For a limited time American Airlines is offering some discounted award trips to Hawaii! Right now you can book award tickets to Hawaii for just 15k miles each way. If you have a co-branded American Airlines credit card that offers 10% of your redeemed miles back, that brings your real mileage price to 27,000 miles round trip. That is pretty great for a round trip ticket to Hawaii! Even without the 10% discount, 30,000 miles round trip is very, very good. Usually their off-peak saver award tickets are 35,000 miles round trip (from January 12 – March 13; August 22 – Dec. 15) and their regular saver tickets are 45,000 miles round trip.
Availability can be sparse from some cities, but it does exist.
People normally think of 25,000 miles as the magic number required to fly round trip around the contiguous states, but for just a couple thousand miles more you can go all the way to Hawaii and back thanks to this special. Pretty awesome for a fall getaway if you ask me!
